I had mistakenly uninstalled adobe flash player. So I tried to install it again, but it keeps telling me the installation was cancelled to try again. So I uninstalled again to make sure it was gone, then reinstalled but the same thing keeps happening.ca anyone help.

Using a virus scanner, make sure that your computer is not infected with virus. Then delete all temp.files and unwanted registry entries with the help of a good system utility software such as CM DISK CLEANER.Try another Adobe flash player installation program.

I think the plugin is still sitting around and that's preventing you from being able to re-install it. Try this at your own risk, I'm assuming you're using IE...
Open up IE.
Click Tools/Internet Options...
Click the Settings button
Click the View Objects button
This will open up a window and you'll see several files. It probably won't be obvious but one of them is for the flash player.
Right click on each one and select properties till you find the one from Macromedia...
For IE6, mine says:
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/ultrashim.cab
When you find it, delete it.
Now try to re-install flash.
