What's a symptom for ovulation? Does mucous that comes out of vagina at around day #10, 11, or 12 indicate present ovulation, or is it pre-ovulation?

There are 3 primary signs of ovulation.

1. waking temperature (basal body temp, BBT)
*generally a woman's waking body temp is around 97-97.5 degrees F (of course illness, alcohol and things like sleep deprivation can change this). When you ovulate, your body produces progesterone which is a heat-emitting hormone that cause your body temp to rise. By charting your BBT you can determine if and when you ovulated.

2. cervical fluid
*around ovulation your body produces a cervical fluid that is slippery, and stretchy. This is fertile fluid that nourishes the sperm and helps transport it.

3. cervical position
*your cervix is the lower part of your uterus that extend to the vagina. Normally it is firm, low, closed, and nonwet. Around ovulation it become the opposite, soft, high, open, and wet. This allows the sperms to move easily up the cervix and into the uterus where it can reach the fallopian tubes to a waiting egg.

Some women experience secondary signs when ovulation is near. But they don't happen in every woman, or even in every cycle.
These signs include...

-midcycle spotting
-pain or achiness near ovaries
-increased sexual feelings
-fuller vaginal lips
-bloating
-increased energy
-heightened sense of vision, smell, and taste
-breast tenderness
