My 99 honda passport's fuel gauge doesn't work but I am assuming I ran out of gas at the bottom of a steep hill. It was running fine until I started up the hill and then it ran out of power. I put 2 gallons of gas in it and it wouldn't start. We added 4 gallons more and it still wouldn't start. I had it towed to a flat area and now it still won't start. I just bought it used and I haven't a clue where anything is. It seems like it isn't getting any gas and there's no pressure in the fuel line. What should I do?

You will need to test the main engine relay (fuel pump relay) to see if it is sending power to the fuel pump.

Then the fuel pump will be the next item tested, how are you checking for fuel pressure?
You may also have a problem with the ignition switch electrical portion?

I bet it's the fuel pump, the pump probably over worked itself when it thought it was out of gas and its probably fryed. Just thinking outloud here. But fuel pumps will run you 300-600 bucks
