Hi, I don't think that its love but I have liked this guy for the past four years. We have never talked but we do know each other because our sisters used to be friends. I think that he liked me too. Last January 2004 I found out that he got marry and it did hurt, but then I decided to stop thinking of him. So I tried, but when ever I used to see him by my house (b/c his mom leaves by me and he would go and visit her) He would put his face all serious and since I knew his wife, she talked to one of my cousins. He would always get all serious and he wouldn't look at me, just to say hi or sometihng. Yeah so I tried to forget him but it was kind of hard at same tme. This year on January 2005 I found out by my cousin that he got divorced. I saw him this year on August and I, well my feelings for him came back. He was flirting me and my cousin says that he wants to talk to me, but he is afraid that I'm going to turn him down because he was married before.
Now, my question is, would it be wrong if I would go out with him? Since I have never had a b/f and I'm kind of shy. Can anyone please give me advice?
I wish that I could talk this to my mom, but I know that she wouldn't approve with that. :(

Why would it be wrong for you to go out with him? There's not a thing wrong with it at all.

But what about if my parents find out and they get mad. Because my parents are over like way over protected. They do know him they say that he is a nice guy and he respects them, but then when they found out that he got divorced they started to talk diffrently about. Him. Some times I want to say like what's wrong with or other things but they will know right away that I might like him.

No it would be proper, as long as he is fully divorced. You were not the cause of his divorce and now he is merely trying to move on in his life.

Also a note, I had this girl from high school, we were the best of friends, real buddies, we did everything together. TO most it would look like dates, but it was just hanging out. So one time we decided that perhaps we should try being boyfriend/girlfriend.

Well I have never kissed my sister, but I know what it must feel like, good friends, but romanse just did not feel right.

Hope that is not what happens to you guys, but had to say it can happen

But on the positive, being friends is the most important part of a relationship. Good luck

Are you 18 years of age or older? Then you need to make your own decisions. I have filed for divorce and I'm separated from my husband. I don't think its my fault or that makes me a bad person. You need to talk to this guy and yes talk to your parents. Make them understand that marriages do not always work out for very good reasons. People make mistakes but we all learn from them. Life happens.

What is it that your mother wouldn't approve of? If he's legally divorced, then he's fair game. Just beware that he may be on the rebound and not willing or able to commit to another serious relationship right now. You also may want to do some investigating into why he got divorced. Talk to some common acquaintances and hear what they have to say. Get his side also and, if possible, try talking with his ex-wife as well. Try to find out what the potential "red flags" are in advance, before becoming too involved with him.
