Hi all! Need to replace an old worn out cast iron tub. House built on a concrete slab in the 60's. Drain opening starting to rust through and the drain piping in the sump has rusted or corroded and fell off. The drain piping for the tub is in the concrete sump, and I recall when the city installed the sewer lines we re-routed from the septic tanks to tie into the city sewer and the from the house to the septic tank was black cast piping. Without looking expect to encounter problems connecting the new tub drain to the existing plumbing. Please advise before I start this project.

Aloha!
Larry

Are you 'handy' enough to tackle this? There is a lot of work and heavy lifting involved.

They have kits for this. I used them to replace two entire bathrooms in a 115 year old home with cast iron lines.
