This is it, you don't even know how to file, so when you get your first objection, how are you going to answer it, have you went to a approved credit counseling firm yet, you are required to have done that and have a letter from them stating you have registered with them.

There are places you can get the forms and file for yourself, but if you want to keep a car, do you know how to re-affirm the debt.

The law was hard enough 4 years ago, but now, many of the attorneys don't know. I called 5 tonight and asked a simple question, none of them got the answer right, I had the bankruptcy trustee have their para legal get me the right answer and we checked to see if an attorney would give me the right answer, I did not get it right.
And it was a simple question, how long do you have to live in a state to file bankrutpcy in that state.

Filing your own Petition would be a big mistake. The new guidelines are brutal and a lot of Attorneys don't understand them, let alone a "civilian."

If you file your own and make one mistake, underestimate or forget one debt, the whole Petition could be thrown out at some point in the future and you'd be in a worse mess.
