 I have an old original Carrier thermostat that came with this 28 year old house- (square type by long way up/down if you know what I mean),I don`t owned the house just renting, so anyway Carrier thermostat seems to have a mind of it`s own, the furnace heat always shuts down after about one or two minutes later, the room temperature needle that can be seen at the bottom part of the thermostat on the wall is at 25c and that plastic little transparent slider handle is set higher than 25c but will not come on unless the slider is all the way to 30c yep at 30  then took a few minutes for the heat to come on and guess what the heat shuts down already like a minute or two later and it`s cold in this bloody house burr, the gas furnace just had a new filter put in, I don`t know what the f**k is going on here, maybe someone on this forum could tell me what too do and how it should be set to the Carrier thermostat, and also perhaps help me about that round wheel behind the plate that can be taken off if that's Importance too know.:( Thanks. ironman2008
