I'd like to know if anyone can tell me the best brand name high noble gold caps that I may purchase to replace my old porcelain bridge. I have a broshure for occlusalgold by golden gate system I'd like to know more about, it is yellow gold.

Molars numbers 28, 29, and 30 needs replacing it is a porcelein bridge (porcelein fused to metal). I.ve had them for 15 years and one of them I had a root canal done too.

I read that gold doesn't tarnish, my old bridge shows a black line along the gingival margin. My question is what is the best full cast gold bridge that you would recommend for me.

OK I see well the best thing for me to do is ask my dentist I work with on Monday.
Every patient I have see with gold crowns normal have tarnish on them and also have problems with the margin. I have been a dental nurse for 10years but would prefer to ask my dentist for advice to help you. I will mail you as soon as I found out.

Most full gold bridges are fabricated at a dental lab. They are not something you can purchase from a brochure. It is not uncommon to find a darker line at the gumline where the margin of the crown is especially if the crown/bridge has been in the mouth for a long time(gums receed) There is no harm in this unless the margins are open and you are at risk of decay under the crown.

Depending where in your mouth your bridge is, is it best to have full gold coverage (healthier for the mouth and less chance of porcelain chipping). If the bridge will show when you smile or talk then you might want to have porcelain put just on the cheek surface so it looks more natural but if there is no chance of the bridge showing your best bet is to go full gold.

Find a good dentist who will do the appropriate prep and impressions to send to the lab to have your bridge fabricated. Good luck!
