Just wondering if there was some help out there for a heating problem. Done a thermostat
change,went from a T874R 1046 TO A Honeywell digital RTH3100C,Cooling and fan works great,problem is,heating part will only run for a few minutes,it's a YORK heat pump unit all elec.This is my wiring at the unit...

YELLOW-Y
GREEN-G
BROWN-W2
WHITE-W1
ORANGE-O
BLUE-C
OLD THERMOSTAT WIRING.. T874R 1046BASE
W-WHITE
B-BROWN
G-GREEN

NEW RTH3100C THERMOSTAT

Did find a setup in the guide for auxiliary,emergency,and temp setting have that set right..
Still heat will not stay on long.. Can anyone help me PLEASE... THANKS..

Here is a copy of your old thermostat wiring diagram. Now that you have both the old and new that came with your new thermostat it shpould be a snap to wire. If unsure always tract the colored wire back to the unit ans see where it goes.
