[F][F]I have just moved into a house and wow what a smell all the time in the small loo room.
I do not have a clue where the smell comes from and tried bleach and left it for 2 days before going back in. That morning bleach smell until a few hours later and my yuk smell came back. I have scrubbed the floor daily and cleaned the loo and placed loo rings but this does not help.
It look like a new loo and looks like it fitted well no movement or until can not sniff around the place as the smell is in the air so can not even find where it is coming from.
What can I do.
I am new to this site and feel silly not being able to get rid of a smell but have tried for 4 weeks now and the smell has won

If none of the fixtures are burping when draining then the wax seal may be faulty and allow sewer gas to enter your home. Pull the toilet and replace the wax seal and see if that doesn't help. Regards, Tom

This will not eliminate sewer gas emission if the wax seal's faulty.

To pull the toilet you must first shut the water off to the tank and disconnect it. Now flush the toilet to drain the tank and then unscrew the two nuts that secure the closet bolts, that secure the bowl to the floor, and pull the toilet up. Clean off the old wax seal and install the toilet with a new one. Good luck, Tom
