I purchased a timeshare over 11 years ago with my boyfriend at the time. We separated about a year after the purchase and he has not been seen nor heard from since. I have been using the timeshare with no problems, but would like to look into selling it now. A few years ago I tried to location him, but was unsuccessful. How can I go about removing his name from the contact and selling the timeshare?

You would have to make a good faith attempt to find him - if all fails you will need an Attorney who will request the Court to allow you to sell the timeshare, very possibly with the boyfriend's share held in an escrow account until he resurfaces. The Court may or may not get involved in which of you gets what percentage of the sale proceeds. They may just split it down the middle.

If is almost impossible to sell jointly held property without the consent of both parties.
