We will hear a drip, drip sound in our upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. The sound will stop for about 5 seconds if we turn the vent fan on, then it starts right back up again. It isn't related to when we flush the toilet or run hot or cold water.

We hear the sound upstairs in the summer and the downstairs one in the winter.

We are in Alabama so the temperatures are not extreme. The bathrooms are right above each other so the likely share the same vent pipe.

I am guessing that condensation is forming in the vent pipe and dripping back down. Does anyone else know of an answer and /or how to stop this?

Thanks,
Shawn

Wilsonsp::::-Alot of time when you have a slight leak into your bowl from the tank it will just drip down the drain pipe . That's one ans. it could also be a leak in your water lines or sewer lines between floors.. Does this do it durning the time it's raining/ Your vent comeing out your roof is not covered over the top of it and rain water getting in it at that time, just enough to cause a drip. There is another one that will give you a answer ,when he see's your question. He goes by (SPEEDBALL1, IM going by things I have came across. GOOD LUCK> f>B.E. :::::
