Hi I am having a problem with my female cat losing her hair.She is an indoor cat only and does not have fleas.nothing in her life changes as we are very stable .is this a nervous thing ? I just don't know what it is .

It could be a number of things from her food, hairballs, kidneys, diabetes, nerves etc... If it has been going on for awhile I would suggest seeing a vet. None of us are vets that answer questions.

I agree! It could be any number of reasons. We can only guess here and the best thing to do would be to take her to the vet. Could also be a nervous thing like you have already mentioned in your question. But, won't really know until the vet advises you.

chantilynn, cats can get nervous just from you bringing an object in to the house. I was spring cleaning once and my cat was afraid of the large black garbage bags that I filled up and sat int the hall, he kept smacking the crap out of them and acting very wierded out, same with a t.v. that broke and we say it in the hallway until garbage day. I have seen him react to dappled light, and seasonal changes from the sun. SO who knows what goes on in their minds.
