Greetings. Any info gratefully appreciated. My well water pressure is running wild. I have an AMTROL WX-202 tank. The well provides plenty of water. However, the pump is turning on and staying on while pressure continues to rise. It shows no sign of stopping at 80 psi. Then I kill the power and blow off a manual valve into a large bowl to keep it down to about 50 -I am not waiting to see what an explosion is like. *Where is a pressure switch for this tank typically located, and is it adjustable?* If so, how is it adjusted? What does it look like? What's probably wrong? Thanks.

Sounds like the contacts in your comtrol box.(see image) are sticking in the closed position. The control box's located next to the pump and is connected to it with a small copper tube. You can clean the contacts, after you shut the power off, with a file or simply replace the control box. Good luck, Tom

Revb, the 202 will have a "Tee" on the bottom for water to enter/exit the tank. The switch typically comes off the Tee. It should be right there at you when you're at the tank.

This site gives a pretty good diagram of what you're facing. Scroll down to the submersible pump section.
