I recently got a used fridge from a friend. It's an admiral designer series and it's about 10 years old. Frost-free model, freezer on top.
We had to place a service call on the machine as it wasn't cooling initially. Turns out there were ice cubes stuck in the freezer fan, preventing it from blowing. So, $70 later and the problem is fixed.
We have the freezer on 6 out of 9 (9 is the coldest) and the fridge set on 5 out of 9. seems to be cooling just fine. However, the compressor runs all the time. I mean, ALL the time. I would say 90% of the time I'm home, it's running.
I vacuumed the dust out from underneath it, but when cleaning it, I did take off this little cardboard-like panel from the back.
Any ideas? Should I place another service call?
