"M" Dash (—) is Alt, 0, 1, 5, 1

Pound (£) is Alt 0, 1, 6, 3

Cents (¢) is Alt, 0, 1, 6, 2

One-half (½) is Alt, 0, 1, 8, 9

French accent (à) is Alt, 0, 2, 2, 4

French accent (ç) is Alt, 0, 2, 3, 1

French accent (è) is Alt, 0, 2, 3, 2

To use the alt codes above you need to do it in the following order:
Press alt
Press and release each number in order on the NUMERIC KEYPAD. The normal numbers above the letters will not work.
Release alt

Also, if you intend to place these symbols in a webpage this is the wrong way to do it. It should be done using &code; as shown here Special HTML (ASCII ISO 8859-1) Characters (http://www.tedmontgomery.com/tutorial/HTMLchrc.html)
