I have had a small number of instances in the recent past of distorted vision. The episode would last for approx 3-5 minutes. On the last occasion it was particularly severe. I was sitting down having breakfast so it did not cause a problem. It involved a breakdown in what I saw in front of me. There seemed to be about six or eight separate areas. Each area was bouncing up and down, sideways and with slight rotation, about 15 degrees or so. There was no pain or other unpleasantness. The episode came to an end quite quickly. The two or three previous episodes were not as severe and probably could be described as vertigo. This last episode was weird and almost entertaining. It sounds like a wind-up but I promise, it did happen as stated. I mentioned it to my two daughters as it was happening. They expressed concern. I do not have a doctor. Medicine in this country (ireland) is very expensive and quality is not good. My query is in the area of curiosity. What happened above was really unusual. I do not ever seek medical help and I do not worry about my general health, but in this instance I am very curious to know the cause.

I have just today found your website.

Many thanks,

It could be from a wide variety of things such as dizziness, diabetes, or you may have had a mild stroke that you are not aware of or a problem with a nerve --just the most basic things it could be. So the only way you can find out is a diagnosis.
Also do not use anything with artificial sweetener (if it is in your country) they can cause temporary vision problems.

That sounds like floaters, and it could be a number of things... And you really need to be diagnosed by a doctor, no matter your opinion of them...

The person above listed a few of the possible things it could be... but there are more. That I myself do not know. But floaters can be caused by many things.
