I just got tested today, through an appointment with my PO for drugs and I know I'm clean. The only drug I use is beer, which was out of my system by the time I got tested (14hrs). My PO said he may randomly test me next time. My question is... Would my PO have to wait until next month to randomly test me? Or can they quickly test me again next week? Or even 3 days from now?

I believe random means ANY time even within 3 days but it is probably unlikely since they have more than you to deal with in their job. BUT I would say STAY CLEAN ANY WAY.

Since alcohol isn't a drug what would happen if I failed because of it?

What are your terms of probation, if not drinking is one of the terms of probation a failed alcohol test would be a violate your probation.

If drinking is not a term of your probation, first they would not test for it, but it would not matter.

So you have to follow the terms of your probation, not just the cause of your crime

I read in the PO manual, that they can't test you two times in a row. If they do, and you're dirty, you will be let go because they messed up. They'll have to send a letter of apology to you, give you $5,000 and let you off probation early...
