I am on the pill but I have missed a few this month... my breasts are so tender I can't even touch them.. I still have a week until I am supposed to get my period.. is there a possibility I could be pregnant?.

Whenever you have sex there is always a possibility of pregnancy. The only thing that is 100% effective is abstinence.

Now, you say you have missed a few pills, so that raises your chances. So, yes you could be.

Just to reinforce what J9 said...

Yep you could most definitely be pregnant. While no birth control is 100% effective, you are not even taking the pills as perscribed, so you might as well not be on them at all. If you do not take them as prescribed they cannot do their job. Even when taken everyday, the pill is only 97% effect at most. Trust me, I know, my daughter was conceived while I was on the pill, and I never missed not one.

But now it's just a waiting game. The tricky thing is that PMS symptoms are the same as early pregnancy symptoms. So really all you can do is wait and see if you miss your period. But keep in mind because you have missed a few pills, that alone can throw off your cycle and make you late.

I went in to the doctor complaining of N/V and side pain. They asked could I be pregnant and I told them no (because I was on the pill)... they thought I had appendicitis... blood work came back, HELLO I was pregnant!

Actually that came out wrong, LOL. I conceived 2 children while on the pill. My two oldest are pill babies, that was when I decided that the pill does not work for me.

A friend of mine got pregnant while on the pill also. She also took it religiously. I agree that seeing a doctor is a good idea. Even if you aren't pregnant, it will put your mind at ease to know for sure. If some time goes by and you still haven't gotten your period, make an appointment.
