you would divide the total profit he wants to get $400. With the profit of each sandwich.

or you could multiply the profit of a sandwich until you get $400.
Example: $3.85 x 20 sandwiches = $77.00

$77.00 divided by 20 =$3.85

This is what you need to do -

Profit from selling 1 sandwich = $3.85
Total Profit Required = $400
Therefore No. of sandiches need to be sold = 400/3.85 = 103.896
However, since he cannot sell a fraction of a sandwich, he will need to sell 104 sandwiches to make $400 or more.

you do 400/3.85 b.c= there is a 3.85 profit and you need $400. So you divide the 400 by 3.85 to see how many you need.
