Hi. I just bought a home and it has two separate thermostats, one for air conditioning and one for heating. I have a gas furnace and have set the thermostat to 72 degrees. When I came in, the temperature in the house was 57. I messed around with the furnace and switched the blower motor on and off and the furnace finally kicked on. I found the manual on this site and printed it out... but it sounds kind of complicated. Is this a good thermostat or should I but a different one? Any help and advice you can give me will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.:)

Rick, there is no good reason to have two separtae thermostats for one furnace. You can install a good stat for under $100 that will handle everything. Turning the blower on and off should not cause the furnace to start working unless there are other problems with the controls. Since this is anew purchase did you have the home inspected and were you given any warranty?

Soymomma, you should not jump into someone else question/post and ask your question. At the home page you can click ask, you clicked answer to get to this place. While you are doing that get your brand name and rechcek that model number, I find not cross reference for any 330B but I do see a 230B, what do you have? Please start your own post after reading this, thanks.

The manual for this Honeywell thermostat can be found here:
Search Results - Honeywell Your Home Expert (http://yourhome.honeywell.com/yourhome/Applications/TechLit/TechLitSearchResults.aspx)

An immense amount of additional info can be found in the Sticky note in the Heating and Air Conditioning Forum:

I am moving this question to the Heating forum for additional answers.
