First of all.. I'm 4'11.. I'm short in middle school I'm in 7th grd.. and a lot of people are taller than me I matured in 3rd grd... at the end of third grd I started my period and I had boobs since like 2nd grd summer or third grd I don't remember but it was in between 2nd and 3rd. And I'm confused.. I've been the same height for about 2 yrs and I'm only 12 and my mom's 5'2 and my dad's 5'5 and everyone else is taller than them like my granddaddy was 6'1 and my aunt becky's 5'5 and I'm confused because everyone in my family is taller except them but there are people that r MY height in my family at elders too and adults.. and I'm only 12 and I want to know if I'll get taller because my mom said I won't.. at least she said that's what the doc. Said but I Don't REMEMBER that! I was in there but I don't remember that and people are telling me that I will grow and then they're doubts because I don't want to be short I want to be average 5'5 or something but I read you get another growth spirt around 13 or 14 and I'm about to turn 13 in Mar of 2006 n my mom was the same height since 5th grd... but she had kids early and things.. Am I going to grow taller or not?? Tell me please..? Or help??

This is not a medical question that has an exact answer, but I can tell you this: You're still near the beginning where most kids grow the most... and it's not uncommon at all that kids grow a few or even several inches between 12 and 17.

Um I've been 5 ft 6 since I was 12 years old and I never got any taller. So maybe there's something wrong with me. Stop worrying about the height thing. It don't matter. Lots of famous people and models are short and by geoge I mean lots of them.

Normally, your height is determined by the height of your parents, and even their brothers and sisters (your aunts and uncles).
If all your parent's family is short, chances are, you will be, too.
I am 6 ft. 4in; taller than both my deceased Mom and Dad, but they have brothers and sisters who were my height. I get my height from my Aunts and Uncles.
