I have a windows 98 computer and have use it all but 4 years to this date. I recently began using it again for cd burning purposes. When I stopped using it had several minor system problems but since then it works fine from different spyware and other type virus removers. I downloaded the new window media player and wanted to keep burning music. I got my list prepared to burn and when I went to copy the disc it told me "no devices capable of burning discs were found on your system, please check your hardware and drive connections and try again" I mean I need this problem solved by any means because its seriously giving me rainy days over here, any info that can assist me will be a big deal, thank you.

Try to back your computer up past the first day that the problem first started.

I just had a similar problem and I backed up my computer and I have not had any problems out of it. It was something that I had downloaded that confused my computer and could not do any thing.

It is something like that. There is a way that you can back your computer up that will basically delete any thing that you have done to it from one day to like two years and any day in between.
