How do I get rid of heating oil smell in a dryer ? I'm a plumber & my girlfriend thought it would be nice to wash my rags from work & one was soaked with heating oil so now my dryer smells like oil!

Was it a gas dryer?

I'd suggest wiping out the drum with a citrus based cleaner and forcibly ventilate the dryer with a fan.
