DO you have to have licenses and bonding to build houses

DO you have to have licenses and bonding to build houses or pay employee cash and who do I contact to report someone who does not have licenses and don't pay taxes? He works everyday and gets paid cash I would like to report him I have to be license and bonded and pay taxes so should he. How does he get away with it!!

No, if you had the lumber and tools to build a house right now you could go into your backyard and build one, but to get jobs building houses, it's pretty much a horrible idea to not be licensed and bonded, people will seek licensed and bonded contractors and construction companies.

Also your state may mandate that you be licensed and bonded, if you are doing home construction. As for building your own home - check your city codes for proper permits, etc. You, yourself, do not have to be licensed, when building your own residence. But check your state and city laws on this.
