I recently moved into a house that is 6 years old. Yesterday, I went to turn on the bathroom light and it would not turn on, but the switch that turns on the fan in the bathroom still works. This two switches are on the same electric plate (I don't know if I am calling it by the right name). They are close together. I tried changing the light bulbs but it still doesn't work. I went into my attic to check to see if anything was wet, but everything was OK. I was thinking that it might be the actually switch but I'm not sure. Can Anyone help me figure this out?

Try changing the shwitch itself and things might work just fine again.

I had a similar problem and it was solved by just changing the switch.

You can turn off power, remove switch, wirenut 2 wires together, turn power on.
If it works, it is a bad switch.
