okay. im 16 and i've wanted to get my tongue pierced for 4 years now. my mom said she doesnt want to let me get it done because its "unhealthy, un-natural, and not right" but i think otherwise. i really want to get it done professionally or otherwise. how do I get a pro to do it or how do i do it myself?

I cannot stress enough... DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PIERCE YOUR TONGUE YOURSELF!!
Your tongue contains large blood vessels that if you hit could send you to the hospital. You could also damage nerves. Your mouth is moist and full of bacteria, it has tons of blood vessels that can spread infection to the brain.

Again... DO NOT TRY TO DO THIS YOURSELF.

That being said you have to be 18 before you will be able to get your tongue pierced. And most piercers... good piercers... will not pierce your tongue before you are 18 even with your parents consent.

You'll have to wait until you are 18 to get it done, if your mom says no. Like macksmom said, absolutely Don't do it yourself. And don't let someone who claims they know how (like a friend) do it either. When you are 18, go to a reputable body art/tatoo business. Absolutely do not have anyone who isn't a pro do it. You can't even imagine the things that could go really really wrong if you do! I know 2 years seems like a long time right now, but it will go by before you know it. In the meantime, you can look for a professional place to get piercings. Ask people you know who have had it done where they went. Whatever you do don't do this yourself. Wait until you're 18. :)

Don't do it yourself I got mine when I was 16 in some guys apartment! Yeah he staralized everything and opened a fresh needle showed me he was a pro and paid 10$ for it. Luckly it didn't get infected!! Just wait you have 2 years left!
