How are the Giant Panda and the Red Panda related?

:confused: They belong to the order Carnivora, but consume mostly bamboo. Scientist are still arguing over the fact that they are related at all, some report state that the red panda is more closly related to the ratcoon or weasel, while other argue that it is closely related to the bear. :confused:
