Hello my name is jason and I have an american pitbull that does not want to eat. I went to the vet. And he gave me some pills that's called Primor 600 and Sucralfate but it seems to not work. He is 1 year and 2 months old. Please if you have and suggestions, please let me know. Thanks

Jason, what did your vet tell you he thought was wrong with your dog? Primor is used to treat UTIs and Sucralfate is used to treat ulcers. The Sucralfate can inhibit any other drugs from working and it can cause other issues. Did your vet check to see if your dog ingested anything that maybe he shouldn't have while you weren't looking? What kind of tests did he run? It is hard to give you definite help to get him to eat without knowing exactly what underlying illnesses a vet believes he has. Please do not try to tempt him with rich foods. If he is suffering from pancreatitis, the wrong food can kill him. Pancreatitis requires a bland diet and for most dogs suffering from it, refusing to eat is normal.

You really should follow up with your vet and let him know that your dog still isn't eating and ask for additional help. If the vet doesn't seem to have any answers for you, I would suggest you find another vet to consult with as soon as possible. Please let us know what happens and how he is doing.

Get back with the vet on Monday if the dog still isn't any better. Read through the sticky at https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/information-articles-our-dogs-expert-labman-53153.html#post254171

All he did was check his tempature and left the room for 3 minutes and came back and said that he didn't find anything wrong with him that he seems to be normal and I told him if my dog had any worms or parasits or bacterial and the vet. Said no that he came out negetive. The first tie I went there they did the same thing and gave me some pills called "TMPS" but also didn't work

Jason, is the dog not eating at all or is he picking at his food? If he is picking at his food please follow labman's advice on his link. If your dog is absolutely refusing to eat please call another vet and get your dog in as soon as possible for a second opinion. If your dog is "normal" as the vet stated, there is no reason for any medication. Something doesn't sound right and if your vet is giving out medication without explanation, it is time to find another vet.
