Model number FEQ1442ES0 Fridgidaire bought two years ago.
Out of sheer frustration with incessant beeping by the dryer, I slammed the door and blew out the drum lamp. I replaced the drum lamp, so that's working again.
Now it seems that the lights are working fine, but when I press start, there's a tiny click on the front left portion of the top interior of the dryer (near the timer), but nothing happens... no drying, no tumbling...
I tested the thermal limiter and the door switch for continuity. They both seem fine.
Should I continue to the timer? Could the impact of the door slam against where the timer generally is be the cause of the problem with the timer? How easy is it to get access to that timer anyway?
