I am a 22 year old student, mother of 2 and soon to be wife. I have been told that I may have sometype of bipolarism. I get aggitated really quickly, have periods of depression sometimes and high energy other times, and also have times when I get really hateful and violent (but I do not harm anyone). Sometimes I get in a rage and cannot remember what just happened. I think Im getting crazy but maybe its just stress. Are these signs of bipolarism and how to I go about getting help?

I have bipolar II and you are describing me before I was diagnosed and went on medication. First, I would suggest you talk to your primary doctor about your thoughts. I would ask for a referral to a mental health professional and get a psychiatric evaluation done. This should lend some light on the situation. Good Luck.:)

You said you was going to be a wife soon. It could be stress. But the real question here is how long have you been having the problems? I have bipolar and I am not medicated. Mine isn't real bad. And no meds they have ever put me on had worked. I am not telling you to not get medicated. It does help a lot of people. Talk to your doctor about what is going on with you. These are sign of bipolar, but could also be something else. I know I am not helping you much in answering your question, I'm not a doctor. But I would strongly advise you to talk to you doctor about this. Bipolar is very hard to live with. I can handle mine. It snt very bad on me. I have found ways to help myself whenI have the lows. Please seek medical advise very soon. Good luck and God Bless

Yes they are signs of bi polar.

Bipolar Disorder Self Care (http://www.mhsanctuary.com/bipolar/selfcare.htm)
Bipolar Disorder natural therapy herbs fish oils (http://www.tribulusterrestrisextract.com/bipolar.html)

SAMe and St John's Wart do not work for everybody but I would try the
Omega
vitamin B complex
B 12 for stress
Magnesium
5 HTP
Taurine
Zinc

Even if you are not bi polar these things can still help regulate your moods and energy.

The only other thing you can do is go to the psychiatrist/therapy and get on psychotropic drugs like
Prozac, paxil, lithium, depakote, etc...
Most people I know on these drugs end up with brain fog and another whole set of up/down feelings.
Then they have to keep going back to get the meds adjusted or switched.

You are exhibiting symptoms of bipolar disorder. I can't give you a definitive diagnosis but I'd urge you to speak with a physician right away. Bipolar disorder can be treated successfully with the right medications and therapy. Professional intervention is crucial.
