I have lived in this new house for ten years and have never had a plug problem. However, sometime in the last month the plugs do not work in my two bathrooms. To use a hair dryer I have to go to another room.

I checked the circuit breakers and do not find any off.

Are the outlets equipped with a Ground Fault Interruptor that may have tripped? Look to see if one or more of the outlets is a GFI - it will have "Test" and "Reset" buttons on the front. If you have one (or more) GFIs, for each one press "test" and then "reset" and see if that fixes it.

Circuit breakers can be tricky. Sometimes they are tripped, but the handle is barely out of position. Turn the likely ones all the way to off, and back on. Then try any GFCI resets.

Thank you. That is the problem. I have more than one GFI. Now all I have to do is find the one in the garage. So much junk I may not live that long!
