I am trying to figure out why I have been cramping for the last couple days. I am breastfeeding my 2 1/2 month old daughter. I have not had a period since before I was pregnant with her. At times it feels like menstrual cramping, but I don't have any of the other signs I used to get, it doesn't seem right. I don't think I'm pregnant again, my husband and I slipped up once and used the "pull out" method, he pulled out but not exactly fast enough. HELP! I'm so confused.

THANKS!:)

Breastfeeding can cause cramping, is it only when your breastfeeding? It can take some time before your body gets back to normal after having a baby. I would talk to your doctor just to be on the safe side. And by the way the "pull out method" doesn't work. I would take a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side... Good luck to you.

Lactation (breast feeding) stimulates the uterus to go back to it's pre-pregnant state. This would most likely be the cramping you are feeling. Some women never have a period while they breastfeed, yet others do.

Pregnancy right after birth of a child is a very real possibility also.

There is really only one way to tell for sure. Make a doctor's appointment.
