I was just wondering if methadone causes you to stay in the bathroom for more than an hour? Is that normal?
And does it cause you to stay up half the night?
And does it cause a lot of smoking?

I have included ALL SIDE EFFECTS. One you should note is constipation if that is what you mean by staying in the bathroom for more then an hour, or do you mean vomitting? On is also sleeplesness.

Methadone side effects include but are not limited to:

* drowsiness
* lightheadedness
* weakness
* euphoria
* dry mouth
* urinary retention
* constipation
* slow or troubled breathing

Methadone side effects that are more rare include but are not limited to:

* allergic reactions
* skin rash
* hives
* itching
* headache
* dizziness
* impaired concentration
* sensation of drunkenness
* confusion
* depression
* blurred or double vision
* facial flushing
* sweating
* heart palpitation
* nausea
* vomiting

Methadone side effects that are more uncommon include but are not limited to:

* anaphylactic reactions
* hypotension causing weakness and fainting
* disorientation
* hallucinations
* unstable gait
* tremor
* muscle twitching
* myasthenia gravis
* kidney failure
* seizures

Is someone excusing these behaviours by telling you that they are taking methadone? i.e. they are in the bathroom and up all night because of methadone? If so, I would suggest that they are still probably using their drug of choice as these behaviours are typical of an illicit drug user.
