You can use it for some recipes if it isn't spoiled really bad.
It is good in homemade macaroni and cheese.

Really you should not drink spoiled milk in any case, drinking or cooking. When Milk is starting to spoil it causes the Bacteria to grow in milk, as the bacteria grows they eat some of the protein and milk sugar, as they eat the sugar the bacteria produces acid and this acid causes the milk basically to clot. A good rule is if your milk smells bad don't eat it or touch it.

There are good and bad bacteria. Milk is pasteurized (heated) to kill the bacteria. This takes care of most of the bacteria but not all of it. The problem is once you bring the milk home, you open it and bacteria from the air, your hands, even the glass you put in in gets into the milk. Since you don't know what kind of bacteria now been introduced into your milk, once spoiled it is kind of risky to drink or use. The smell from spoiled milk is caused by the bacteria eating the fat and protein. I understand what your saying, of course, about cooking with soured milk, but I personally believe, there is some risk.

You can drink it. I ate a really dry cookie and was fiending for milk. Bought a small carton of milk and chugged it. When nearly done with the carton I noticed the milk was in chunks, and it smelled spoiled. I continued to "drink" the chunks... and I didn't get sick. No problems what so ever. Was kind of gross, but no advere effects.
