Hi
I hope so one can help, we can not flush our toilet, it is filling up OK and then when you go to flush it you push down the handle and it will not flush.
I have taken the lid off and the metel bar that is attached to the handle comes up but it does not let the water out?
I hope someone can help?

New flapper the chain is probably broke or you need to reattach the chain unless it is some goofy toilet design but a new flapper is like $3

I have had a look and there does not seem to be a chain do you want me to take a picture and send it to you to show you what it looks like?
What is a flapper?

Yeah you can take a pic to show me... but the flapper is the round rubber looking thing in the bottom of your tank it is about 2" round and it lets the water out when you pull the lever sometimes they are connected by a rubber strap instead of a chain send a pic and I will ponit it out to you

This site shows the chain and flush valve (just above Step 4 )
Ace (http://www.acehardware.com/sm-repairing-toilets--bg-1280889.html)
Valve in hand and chain to the left Chain lifts valve and flushes toilet

I don't think I have seen one like that but what ever it is the metal wire attached to the lever is not operateing what it is attached to under the water

Do you think it needs a new flush valve? As I have tried pulling the vavle up by the wire and it does not want to flush it is trying?
