Right rear directional light will not function. New bulb, used left interchangeable socket still not working. Hazard lights all work except the right rear direction socket.
Voltmeter shows no current. Check wires.

Where does this socket get its current from??

We do not know what kind of car you have, if plugging in the left side did not help then you have a bad socket or wire problem in the right side, first thing to do is check the ground wire connection. Are you sure that the left side connector is matching pin for pin to the right side?
