View Full Version : Should there be a separate political discussion forum ?

Since the bulk of postings here have either been opinion/discussion driven ;or home work;neither of which are apparently proper for this board... perhaps if a forum board was created for the purpose of political discussions there would be less confusion ;and fewer postings consigned to the Member Discussion Board (where they share equal time with Pink & Black #4 and Secret garden 3# ).

Just a thought... that way this board could remain here collecting cobwebs and the members who have turned this board into what is in my opinion a vibrant one could migrate to the alternative .

What do you think ?

Sounds like a good idea to me.

So much of political discussion involves throwing out a topic and engaging in debate over that topic. To my mind, that is where genuine learning takes place and (most of the time) compromises--however grudging--are made.

There are really very few "pure" questions that are NOT homework-ish. The vast majority are topical debates.

I say we go for it. Who wants to talk to the bosses?

I'm in. I'll go wherever the discussion is taking place.

Sounds good to me... Political Discussions... I don't have as much time as you men have, but I could add a little fuel to the fire.

I'd like an atheist Board, too. I would really enjoy having a home board, so to speak, where I can post educational topics and have fellowship with fellow atheists and secular humanists.

It wouldn’t surprise me Choux if you and I were the only Atheist here. Many debates wouldn’t occur if theists didn’t appear in order to try to convert atheists — usually to some form of Christianity. What I’ve noticed is misconceptions about atheism, agnosticism, and freethought.

Works for me. Meanwhile we can still Play The Candidate Match Game (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/politics/play-candidate-match-game-140964.html) or participate in a poll (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/politics/us-voters-do-you-already-know-how-youll-vote-next-presidential-election-142548.html) :D
