Hi Guys,
Greetings and Blessings !

Two weeks ago ( without previous announcement ) I received a file by mail, about a Wage Garnishment ( from an old Citi debt )
Juts last week, 1177.00 from my check was taken under that concept ( again, without giving me the chance of defending myself )
Ok, I then filled up the form "Exemption...blah, blah...." and sent it by mail to a North Miami Court.

Now, about that money taken or garnished:

Its currently kept on a "drawer" by my employer or by the Court?
Until when ?
How do I get it back ? Do I ?
After an appointment with the Judge and Citi attorneys ?
After I call that Citi attorney ?
Until I pay off the 4800.00 owned ?
Until that debt its paid off by the so called Garnisment?

Thanks and gratefully,

Enrique Garcia.

Were you aware that a judgement had been entered against you?

Hi Scott, thanks !
Yes, on Nov 2005, while living in SanAntonio, I was served.
Then, I was transferred to Miami, I did tell the Court there, I did inform them about my new address... then, I never received a new follow, just until now...

You apparently didn't respond properly to the summons so a default judgement was entered against you. So they finally caught up with you and filed a garnishment,

Not sure if there is anything you can do at this point.
