Very simple answer: because of your skin type you always have to use a sun protection cream before you go under the sun.. İf you stay too long you might have to use a +50 degree protecting cream.. this will not only protect your skin from the harms of the sun but will also prevent your skin from getting darker. As I said, if you are staying too long under the sun every day apply a strong cream and always renew it every 2 or 3 hours.. it really works..

People of color have more pigment or melanin in there skin than caucasians. If you're African American, Asian, or Hispanic and spend a prolong time in the sun or take sunbaths, the melanin in your skin gives a darker tan of the skin. Therefore, you will have extra melanin in your skin from sun exposure. You should apply a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher before going out in the sun.

La Roche(shake shake), Vichy (a bit more oily type) work well. If I were you I would prefer French brands rather than others.. This summer I have used La Roche and it really worked.. My skin is similar to yours which darkens so fast so I used the Shake Shake +50 of La Roche.. But don't forget that if you have any other skin problems (too oily, too dry) you must ask a dermatologist before you buy one..

As you know, your skin is darker due to sun exposure. But your skin will gradually turn back to it's original complexion as long as you stay out of the sun or wear protective clothing. Try exfoliating your skin twice a week with a facial or body scrub, and apply a moisturizer. There are moisturizers designed to brighten the complexion. You might want give it a try if you want your skin to look more radiant. And apply a good sunscreen before going out in the sun. There's a sunscreen called "Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 55 & 70". This sunscreen is dermatologist tested, and it works to help prevent damaging UVA rays from penetrating deep under skin’s surface. Remember that sunscreen doesn't completely protect you from harmful UV rays, so try to limit your exposure in the sun. You will find these products at your local drugstore or pharmacy in the skin care aisle.
