While trying to create some rules in Outlook 2003, I somehow created rules that refer to Microsoft Exchange. I use this computer at home and how never had any dealings with Microsoft Exchange. When I attempt to edit or delete these rules, the edit/delete buttons are greyed out and I can't do anything with them. I have tried "repairing" Outlook, uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2003 with no results. Where do I go from here?

Thanks in advance.

I too had this problem (being unable to delete old rules in Outlook 2003). The solution in my case was to start Outlook 2003 once with the /cleanrules switch to clear out all rules.

The only downside is that this will clean out ALL rules, and you will have to recreate the ones you wish to use.

Hopefully this will be too late and by now you found a solution elsewhere! :)

Thanks very effective, I just run: outlook.exe /cleanrules
And all are fine now. Thanks a lot, God Bless.
