My laptop just got locked in this mode that I do not recognize. The U, I, O, etc, keys that correspond to the numbers - 4, 5, and 6 and the other respective keyes, of course, are set, and I cannot disengage that. I know it is just a setting, but I have never used it, and now do not know how to reverse the configuration. Any clues? I know it must be a simple command.

Thanks in advance.

Press and hold the Fn key, and then momentarily press the button along the top with the word "Scroll" on it. It should have a second symbol that may look like a padlock with a number in it, which stands for the NumLock function.

That should return the buttons to normal function.
