I need help! I had heard about a new type of company that doesn't actually produce anything, just simply harvest ideas to either improve existing products or possibly create new ones. They then sell the ideas to the respective company that would benefit. I can't remember what the companies' names were or what the profession was called, but am very interested. If anyone has a lead, please let me know! THANKS!!

Consultants, which is what we are in here, don't produce, the sell ideas and solutions.( we just do it for free) :D

Ha ha, guys! I had heard about a company that does this on Good Morning America about 2 or 3 months ago but the name of the company escapes me.

Yes, I had thought it was consulting, but this seemed to be a different kind of consulting... unsolicited, I guess?
