We have oil heat and we can't get the heat to turn off. We have a digital thermostat, but it's not a programmable one. Anyway, yesterday morning, I noticed the blower under the kitchen sink was on all day. (it is the type that they put in because it is on a wall of kitchen counters and it equals the heat produced by 16 ft of regular baseboard registers) I turned the heat down on the thermostat because that usually makes it turn off. It stayed on and is still on this morning. We called a friend in the business and he recommended disconnecting the thermostat. My husband did this but the registers are still hot and the kitchen under the counters blower was still blowing hot air. The burner isn't staying on all the time, but it is coming on much more frequently than usual. Our house is only two years old... do I need to call a repairman?

I would call a repair person. Sounds like a wiring issue .
