I installed a new Peerless hot water boiler. Have a single zone system which now provides plenty of heat to lower half of house, the upstairs bedrooms of this split level house has no heat. I installed a bleeder valve in one of the bedroom base boards and bled the system there until water started to come up. The pipe began to heat while the water was coming out, however, once the bleeder valve was closed, the pipe began to cool down. During installation no other valves where open or closed. Could there be air trapped in the rest of the bedroom baseboards? Why would there be heat on the lower part of the house and not on the upstairs. I replaced the circulator that came with the boiler with a BG series 100 and still no heat in the bedrooms. I keep the boiler hot water temperature between 170 and 180 degrees F. Any suggestions?

Try bleeding the system at the far end. If that doesn't help, try shutting the water off to the lower part of the house and see if the pump then forces the water through the upper part. The water level may be low. There may not be enough water to fill the upper pipes.

Doesn't quite make sense.
