Hi, My names aaron ouellette,
I have a couple of questions that NEED to be answered... I'm kind of new at this.. but I have a bit of experience with electrical work... I've installed sub pannels lighting fixtures.. little things like that... Today I have to pull a 200 Amp pannel which sits inside of the wall... out of the wall... the wiring in it is horrible.. now the problem that I've come upon is the main power source... how am I supposed to disconnect the main power source without frying myself, or blowing my hosue up? Is there another main breaker besides the 1 in the pannel?

My attitude is that DIY work stops at the main breaker. Most houses don't have anything else. You could call the power company and ask them to disconnect your service. They may ask some questions and not like your answers.

This sounds like a good idea... I'm kind of considering having a professional do the job for me

You have to call the power company to come out and set up a temporary power pole. They will then disconnect the main power drop and you can than do your work. You should also get a permit séance the city will now be aware of what your doing. Do not mess with the main panel till the power is shut off.
