The water pressure in my kitchen is LOW!! The problem started about 2 months ago when my dishwasher was not getting any water to it. The machine would run, but no water was coming in. Since then, the water pressure in the sink beside it has continued to diminish to the point that is is so low now that it barely runs. HELP!

Where does the washer get its supply water, tapped from the sink supply? The washer only taps hot water and I suspect your water heater, possibly the dip tube, has allowed debris to reach your washer and plugged it up. That same debris is probably also in the inlet of your faucet mixer. Do you get a bit more pressure with cold only, I'm thinking you may. If all this is true I'd first start flushing the water heater each year. Do this now before you start any of the other plumbing repairs in the kitchen. Shut off your main supply in the house and open other faucets to relieve pressure. Now open the kitchen faucet by removing the handle and the cartridge, check for white particles of debris, could be any color but the dip tube was white. With the cartridge removed put a pan or towel over the opening and have someone else turn on the main for a second and then quickly close it. That will blow out and other debrisRemove the debris and reinstall. The washer is a bit more difficult, is it still a problem or was it fixed?
