I turn my a/c and furnace to off during the day and at night sometimes to save on our bills. This morning when we turned it to heat, nothing happened. I tried troubleshooting it by jumping the wires, red to white, and nothing. Tried yellow to green for the blower, again nothing. Took off the blower door on the furnace and tried to jump them there as well, again nothing. I checked the breaker and also checked the turn off switch on the side of the furnace for power, and it has power. What else can I check? What do you suggest?

I knew I should have given you the link to the sticky with the pictures, https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/heating-air-conditioning/heating-cooling-maintenance-repair-troubleshooting-frequently-asked-questions-58313.html

It is on the board all the thermostat wires connect to.

My furnace was made in 1992. It doesn't have a fuse. I had to break down and call a service man. It was the transformer that the 24 volt fuse would have saved it was equipped with one. I wish I had been able to check the transformer out myself first. It cost me $141.00 to get fixed. Maybe next time!!

The sticky has a picture of an inline fuse. Pick one up and install it in one of the leads of the new transformer quick before the same problem fries it. Edit-I am sorry I didn't suggest checking the transformer. They nearly all have fuses now.
