Please Help. I don't know how to adjust the level of water in the tank currently it is too high and leaks down the tube. The home improvement books and web sites I've visited tell me to one adjust a piece my toilet doesn't have.Or two to bend the arm to the floater to adjust it . This worked for about 5 minutes. ANy other suggestion on how to adjust the water fill line?

Does the water shut off when you raise the float ball arm? If not, replace the ball cock.
How I adjust the tank level is by grasping the float ball arm AHEAD of the floatball and next to the ball cock.
I then bend the arm down to decrease the tank level and up to increase it. If the ballcock's operating correctly a little practice will get you the level you drsire. Good luck, Tom
