I have a GE profile dishwasher. The repairman has been to my house 3 times. The first time he cleaned the filter. The second time he said it needed a new pump and the third time he came to install the pump. He then left and the dishwasher completed the cycle buy the water remained. I took matters into my own hands. I disconnected the drain to the dishwasher and could blow air up to the sink drain, no blockage. When I took the pump and drain line apart they were completely dry. I found the float at the bottom and was wondering if the switch to the float was out, what else I can check? The dishwasher motor turns on and it runs normal except is doesn't drain.

Thanks,

Charlie

Check and see if the drain hose is looped up to the underside of the countertop. If it is not higher than the connection to the drain, it will not drain properly, unless you have an airgap installed

If it was me I would Check to see if the pump had been replaced with a new one that is bad
But it sounds like the drain cylce part on your switch is not working, and you will have to replace the whole switch, before you do have a appliance man to check it out first with ohm meter. Since another has already been out ,call a different repairman this time good luck F.B.E.
